Wetlab Ltd provided our services at the Society of Cardiothoracic Surgery Annual Meeting, this year at the ICC Birmingham.
The congress took place from 19th - 21st March with the Wetlab taking place on the first day.
The hands on sessions focussed on cardiac in the morning and thoracic in the afternoon.
Delegates got to rotate around each station and could try their hand at:
Mitral valve repair and replacement
Aortic Dissection
Aortic Valve replacement
Coronary anatomy
Wedge resection and staple guns
Trachesostomy insertion
Chest drain insertion
And also drylab and simulation that included:
Virtual Reality
AF ablation and open sternotomy
Angiogram and interpretation
IABP and ECMO
Laparoscopic skills
Rigid and flexible bronchoscope
The day was truly immersive and was an outstanding opportunity for participants to get a huge amount of hands on training on a wide variety in a short amount of time.
